X-TRA Seal S cures both severe lost circulation situations and also strengthens loss zones. This enables further drilling operation to target depth of the interval. conventional LCMs generally do not strengthen the matrix due to lack of interparticle links. This eventually leads to losses because such cake/seal can be easily disrupted by circulation of drill pipe movement. X-TRA Seal S has special proprietary binders
which enable it to form interlinked plug structures inside fractures. The bridging/plugging and self-sealing mechanism happens simultaneously without the aid of particulates from the drilling fluid.
X-TRA Seal S is easily applied as a one-sack product and creates an effective pressure seal at significantly lower concentrations than is normal for these applications and effective in both deep-water, shallow water and land applications.
